π¦Dino Legacy Survival — FAQ
β What type of server is Dino Legacy Survival?
Dino Legacy Survival is a semi-realism Path of Titans server focused on immersive gameplay, fair combat, structured rules, and an active community.
β Is this a realism or PvP server?
It is semi-realism. PvP is allowed, but must follow interaction, combat, and body rules. Random killing, exploiting mechanics, or ignoring roleplay logic is not allowed.
β Do I need to join the Discord?
Yes. Joining Discord is required for:
Rules & announcements
Reports and support
Events and updates
Shop and bot features
βDo I need to link my account?
Yes. You must link and verify your Alderon account with your Discord account before using:
The shop
Bot commands
Server features
Instructions are available in the link / verify channels.
β What is the maximum pack size?
The maximum pack size is 12 slots.
All dinosaurs in a pack must belong to the same class.
Apex rules apply:
1 Apex → may pack with same-class dinosaurs
2 Apexes → no additional dinosaurs allowed
More than 2 Apexes → forbidden
β Is there Perma Death?
Yes. If your dinosaur dies, you need to start a new one, or play another one from your storage.
On our server, each Dino haves its own story and adventures! Every decision matters!
β Can different dinosaur classes pack together?
No. Mixing dinosaur classes in packs or coordinated groups is forbidden with some exceptions.
Each class must operate independently.
But different Tiers Dinos can mix pack
β Can I attack anyone on sight?
No. Combat must follow:
Combat start rules
Body claim rules
Truce timers
Third-party restrictions
Violating these rules can result in punishment even if a kill occurs.
β What starts combat?
Combat officially starts when a bite is landed.
β Can I third-party a fight?
No, third-party combat is generally forbidden.
Exception: Aquatics may third-party land-only fights.
Aquatics cannot third-party:
Semi-aquatic fights
Aquatic vs aquatic fights
β What happens if I log out during combat?
Logging out during active combat results in dinosaur deletion. Verified crashes or server disconnects may be reviewed by staff.
β What happens after a fight?
The winner must stay with the body
The losing side must leave the area
Body contest rules apply
Truce timers may prevent immediate re-engagement
β Can I contest a body?
Yes, only if your pack did not participate in the fight. Body contests must follow the 3-call / 4-call process.
β Are events mandatory?
No, events are optional — but disrupting events is not allowed.
β How do I report rule breaks?
All reports must be made through: SUPPORT → Make a Report
Screenshots or video evidence are required.
β What happens if I break the rules?
Depending on severity:
Warning
Forced disbanding
Dinosaur deletion
Temporary or permanent ban
Staff decisions are final.
β Where can I ask questions?
If you’re unsure about a rule:
Ask in Discord
Contact staff before acting
“It wasn’t clear” is not a valid excuse after the fact.
β What is a dinosaur class?
A dinosaur class is a server-defined category used to group dinosaurs with similar size, role, and gameplay impact.
Classes are not scientific taxonomy. They exist to help enforce:
Pack limits
Grouping rules
Combat balance
Semi-realism behavior
On Dino Legacy Survival, classes are used to prevent unfair mixed packs, limit apex stacking, and keep encounters immersive and balanced.
β Why does the server use dinosaur classes?
Using classes allows us to:
Keep fights fair and readable
Avoid overpowered pack combinations
Simplify rules and enforcement
Maintain semi-realism without overcomplication
Instead of creating rules for every individual species, rules are applied by class.
β How do dinosaur classes affect gameplay?
Dinosaur classes determine:
Who you are allowed to pack with
How many dinosaurs can be in a group
Whether apex restrictions apply
How combat and third-party rules affect you
Example: A Tyrannosauridae dinosaur cannot pack with Raptors, even though both are carnivores, because they belong to different classes.
β What are the rules regarding classes?
You may only pack with dinosaurs from the same class (with some exception, check dinoprofiles in discord)
Mixing classes in packs or coordinated groups is forbidden
Apex rules apply within each class
If you are unsure which class your dinosaur belongs to, ask staff before packing
π§ A dinosaur class defines how your dinosaur is allowed to interact with others on the server.
β How can I know my dinosaur’s class?
You can find your dinosaur’s class in several ways:
π Check the Selection Guides channel
π¦ Check the Dino Profiles channel
π€ Use the bot command in the Bot / Shop Bot channel:
/dinoprofile <dinosaur name>
If you are still unsure, ask staff before packing. Claiming ignorance after joining a pack is not a valid excuse.
β Is there a tier system?
Yes.Each dinosaur belongs to a tier, ranging from Tier 1 up to Apex.
β οΈ Tier is NOT the same as class.
Class defines who you can pack with
Tier defines how many dinosaurs can be in a pack
𧩠How does the tier system work?
Tiers determine:
How many pack slots a dinosaur occupies
How many dinosaurs of that tier are allowed in a group
Higher-tier dinosaurs take up more space and have stricter limits.
π¦ Tier Examples
Apex dinosaurs
2 adult Apexes → pack must contain only those 2 Apexes
1 Apex → may pack with mid or low tier dinosaurs (same class)
Lower-tier dinosaurs take fewer slots, allowing larger mixed packs within the same class.
π Important Notes
Tier limits apply within each class
You may not exceed the 12-slot pack limit
Tier rules are enforced based on active group participation
If you’re unsure about a dinosaur’s tier, check the Dino Profiles or ask staff
β How can I know the tier of a dinosaur?
You can find a dinosaur’s tier in the same ways as its class:
π Check the Selection Guides channel
π¦ Check the Dino Profiles channel
π€ Use the bot command in the Bot / Shop Bot channel:
/dinoprofile <dinosaur name>
If you are unsure about a dinosaur’s tier, ask staff before forming or joining a pack. Not knowing a tier is not a valid excuse for breaking pack rules.
β How does growth work?
Growth on Dino Legacy Survival is time-based and survival-focused, designed to reward staying alive and playing smart.
π Passive Growth
Dinosaurs grow passively over time while you are alive
Growth continues as long as you remain in the game and survive
Reaching adult takes a couple hours
β What happens if my Dino dies?
If you die, your dinosaur becomes unplayable if you want to play same species, you will need to create a new one, there is perma death, All marks available in the dead Dino are lost! (you can deposit and secure marks on the Dino using /deposit command shop bot)
Survival matters — reckless play has consequences.
β What are the Growth Stages?
Dinosaurs progress through multiple stages:
Hatchling
Juvenile
Adolescent
Sub-Adult
Adult
Each stage increases your size, stats, and combat potential.
βIs there Growth in the Shop
The shop may offer limited growth-related items
These are designed as time-savers, not pay-to-win
Instant adult growth is not available
π Important Notes
Growth is not instant
Playing safe, avoiding unnecessary fights, and respecting rules helps you grow faster
Staff will not restore growth lost due to rule violations on your part (when you rule break)
π§ In short:
Stay alive = grow
Die = lose progress
β Are there quests?
Yes. Quests are available and are an important part of progression on Dino Legacy Survival.
β What are quests used for?
Completing quests rewards you with marks, which can be used to:
Unlock abilities
Buy skins and cosmetic items
π Important Notes
Quests are optional, but highly recommended
Quests do not replace growth — they support customization
Managing your marks wisely is important as you progress
π§ In short:
Quests = marks
Marks = abilities & skins
β Are there waystones or teleport systems?
No, Dino Legacy Survival does not use waystones or general teleport systems.
πͺΊ Nesting Teleport Exception
There are limited nesting-related exceptions:
Hatchlings, juveniles, and adopted dinosaurs can teleport to their nest
This teleport is only available when nested or adopted
Teleporting is restricted to their own nest only
It cannot be used for free travel or repositioning
π± Nest Growth Bonus
While near their nest and parents:
Nested dinosaurs receive +25% growth speed
The bonus applies only within nest range
Leaving the nest area removes the bonus
π Important Notes
No teleports exist for non-nested dinosaurs
No teleporting to players, packs, or locations
Nest teleports exist solely to support family play and early growth
π§ In short:
No waystones. No world teleports. Only nested dinosaurs may teleport to their nest and grow faster nearby.
β Are there home caves like on other servers?
No. Dino Legacy Survival does not use home caves.
β Why are there no home caves?
To keep the world open and immersive
To prevent instant safety
To make positioning and survival decisions matter
Where you log out and where you live in the world has consequences.
π Important Notes
You cannot safely hide or re-spec abilities in a home cave
Logging out in unsafe areas carries risk
Nesting and natural terrain should be used for safety instead
π§ In short:
No home caves. No safe bubbles. Survival is part of the experience.
β How can I edit my dinosaur’s abilities?
You can edit your dinosaur’s abilities at any time, as long as you have the required marks.
π§ Important Details
You do not need to lie down or rest to change abilities
Ability changes are instant
Each ability change costs marks
Make sure you have enough marks before switching
π Notes
Plan your build carefully to avoid wasting marks
There are no home caves, so ability changes are done in the open world
Staff will not refund marks spent on ability changes
π§ In short:
Have marks → change abilities anytime
βIs there a bot and bot commands?
Yes. Dino Legacy Survival uses a bot available in the section -> bot
shop-bot channel.
β What can the bot do?
Using the bot, you can:
π° Deposit marks to safely store them in your bank
π¦ Withdraw marks from your bank to your currently active in-game dinosaur
π Spend marks in the shop to buy available items
This system helps protect your progress and manage your marks safely.
π Important Notes
Deposited marks are secure and not lost on death
Withdrawn marks are applied to your currently active dinosaur
All bot commands must be used only in the bot-shop-bot channel
You must have your account linked and verified to use the bot
π§ In short:
Bot = store marks, move marks, buy items
β What is the discipline protocol?
Dino Legacy Survival uses a strike-based discipline system to ensure fair play and consistent enforcement.
βοΈ Discipline & Enforcementπ΄ Combat Logging
Any dinosaur that combat logs will be deleted immediately
Combat logging is considered a serious offense
π Strike System
Repeated rule violations result in escalating punishments:
1st strike: 24-hour ban
2nd strike: 72-hour ban
3rd strike: 168-hour ban (7 days)
4th strike: Permanent ban
Strikes apply per player, not per dinosaur.
π Important Notes
Severe violations may skip strike levels
Verified crashes or server issues may be reviewed at staff discretion
Attempting to evade punishment will result in harsher penalties
Staff decisions are final
π§ In short:
Break rules → gain strikes → escalating bans
Combat log → dinosaur deleted
